I imagine you are condensing the idea of solitude from that retreat a bit, but it do8;e&#n217st seem quite right to me. There were several times when Jesus either sent out his disciples, went off to pray alone, or went into the wilderness to be alone. He needed to be alone with God – not alone with God while doing everything else. I think the real purpose of solitude is to clear away the distractions and actually allow us to focus.  |
